  • Family Service Inc. brings clinical mental health services to South Dakota

1975

  • The Compass Center is founded as South Dakota's rape crisis center

2019

  • Move to Heal South Dakota pioneers body-first healing approaches

2025

  • Three organizations unite to form Solace, creating South Dakota's first integrated trauma recovery and mental wellness center

October 2025

  • Solace launches publicly, bringing together 120+ years of combined expertise under one roof

2026-2027

  • Implementing the National Trauma Recovery Center model to serve victims of violent crime

From three pioneering organizations to one integrated center, Solace honors decades of expertise in crisis response, clinical therapy, and healing arts. Together, we continue this legacy—meeting people in crisis, walking alongside them in recovery, and supporting their journey to wellness.
